OK PEOPLE, time to step it up. We don't want Aunt Ruth to be bored!
OK...Lanham update...
Kelly went to Orlando for the weekend & got back last night. There was a school board convention or something there. He met someone who know Johnny & Renea and the whole Boggess crew, but he can't remember his name.
The boys and I had an enjoyable weekend. The weather was nice, for the most part. We stayed outside most of the time. They decided that there was something living under the play house so they dug out a big hole and started sticking cats under there to see if they could catch anything. We never did, but it sure entertained them for a long time. Rachael Ray did catch a little mouse last night and the boys sure enjoyed watching her play with it. They were cheering her on..."get the mouse" "good job, Rachael", etc. She got bored and the little kitty grabbed it up and carried it around for a while. Don't know where the mouse ended up, but it picked the wrong yard to come in!
I set out my garden last weekend. I started all of my tomato & pepper plants from seeds. I also started some flowers from seeds that I planted over the weekend. I've had so much fun playing in my little greenhouse. It is my therapy! I go in there & shut the door and it's QUIET!! Usually no one bothers me unless they are looking for the frog that likes to eat my plants. I wish they'd find him! Riley does like to get in there & water the plants...or is it that he just likes to play in the water? My cats follow me out there and sit at the door waiting for fresh catnip. Can you tell there's not a lot to do in this little town???
It was 94 here yesterday and today it's only supposed to be 67. Crazy weather.
I'm still doing what I can at the Humane Society. I run the website & I've taken over the Vice President seat on the Board of Directors. I'm planning to go to Orlando in May with the Shelter Director & Asst. Director for the Animal Care Expo.
Jake & Hunter started baseball practice last night. Jake is on the Giants (machine pitch) and Hunter is on the Brewers (t-ball). For at least the next 9 weeks, we will eat, sleep & breathe baseball.
Riley is turning out to be quite an artist. He took a pink Sharpie and colored on the walls, the tables and the chair in the family room. I can't take my eyes off of him for a minute!
It's never boring here, so come visit us!!
