Since I don't have kids to take pictures of any more and wouldn't know how to post them if I did, my posts will be very boring but hopefully informative. You definitely wouldn't want pictures of me showing up on here. We are doing well and seem to have recovered from the wedding events. It's rodeo time here in Houston and John and I will be going with the Hendershots next week to see Alan Jackson. This will be our first trip back to a rodeo concert in 28 years. Mary and John visited us our first year here and we got tickets to see Ray someone and had to sit in the nosebleed section. We spent about as much time going up and down steps as we did enjoying the concert and I spent half of that time in misery since someone spilled beer down my back. Then there was the time we took Joe, Katie, John and Jeanette to the Livestock Show and Rodeo during the day. That was a special time, remember Joe? Hopefully this year will be better and maybe we'll go back before another 28 years flies by. I just had to add up on paper how old I would be and it's 85! Whoa! Things are generally a lot nicer when we go with the neighbors. They have a box where we will be served great food - that's all I need to hear for inspiration!
Things are generally pretty slow here. An indication is that the greatest excitement seems to be watching American Idol! That's pretty bad. Lauren and Wade joined us for dinner and the show on Tuesday. We were sorely disappointed but last night was better.
I am giving a bridal shower along with two friends for Mary Jane's daughter on Tuesday. That means I'll get to see my and many of your former PE teacher. Hope she doesn't bring her starting gun and expect me to sprint around or anything.
John usually plays golf on Saturdays. It's a good excuse for him to drive up to see Kyle but this weekend he's playing here with friends. Kyle's girlfriend is going there for a visit!!! He is looking for a place to live next year with 3 0r 4 roommates. That sounds good because more people usually means cheaper. He will be home for spring break in a week and a half but says he won't be back for Easter. I'm looking for kids to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt I want to have since mine won't be here this year. Send your grandkids on down - I put money in the eggs!
Hope this newsy post will inspire you to use this website. Technology is great - even for us old folks!
