We survived the Tornado. We all have power now. I think we went about 48 hours with no power, but it seemed like 48 days. We shared generators from house to house to keep our refrigerators cool and for some of us, our heat on.
I thought I would post some pictures of the tornado damage. The tornado bounced around a little, but essentially started near the flea market. That is where the three people were killed. It then hit the North High School area, near where Bruce and Brona Hendrix used to live. It stayed down all the way through Powderly and seemed to jump once again at the bypass near D&P Auto Sales. It came down a third and final time in Gaslight Park in Central City. President Bush was in the county yesterday surveying the damage.
